This week's tip is all about the Facebook Cover Image. Step one, have a cover image! Step two, switch it out at a minimum of once a month, max once a week. Step 3. Keep it relevant and timely and step four, have a call to action like your web address, arrow to an email opt-in box, information about your next in-store event, etc. Below I've added in some cover photos I personally love, that do a great job at promoting their brand and products. Dallas Foodie: Awesome, organized way of showcasing their delicious treats. You can create a collage like this using something like PicMonkey.com or working with a graphic designer.
Pier 1: Even though it's a big box store, this cover photos is something you can create for your store's page. I love this example because it's timely, showcasing fall products.
*Social Edge Member* Simplicity Decor: I love how this member retailer takes pictures of merchandise in his store and uses it as the cover image. Great way to pull your store into your Facebook page.
*Social Edge Member* Mercy Gift Shop: I love how Mercy shows their hospital gift shop as the profile picture and displays the hospital as their cover. Beautiful picture!
Riffraff: Another timely example with football season officially starting this Sunday. Great job of showcasing their web address in the cover image and their products. Note: products that can be worn should always be displayed on Facebook with someone wearing them and not on a hanger, table, etc.
SoulScape: Another easy way to display products. This picture was taken in store and focuses on one message and product.
